Kohl’s Department Stores has announced that it will put solar panels on four of its nine Oregon department stores.

The first installation is scheduled for this month at the company’s Hillsboro store. The panels will provide 25 percent of each store’s energy. The company has already converted 43 of its locations to solar power and plans to install panels at 85 additional sites in six states.

Kohl’s has stores in Albany, Beaverton, Clackamas, Medford, Portland, Salem, Springfield and Wood Village. The company hasn’t yet announced which other Oregon locations will be fitted with solar energy.
