Gerding Edlen moves forward with PSU solar project

POSTED: 12:11 PM PDT Wednesday, August 6, 2008
BY LIBBY TUCKER

After a the Oregon Public Utility Commission ruled in favor of third-party investors on renewable energy projects, Gerding Edlen says they're moving ahead with a solar installation at PSU.

The decision comes in time for the developer to apply for federal investment tax credits, set to expire at the end of the year. But because Congress failed to renew the tax credits this year, Gerding Edlen isn't sure what kinds of projects they'll be able to accomplish next year, said project manager Dennis Wilde. They'll know better after the first quarter of 2009, he said.
