POSTED: 04:00 AM PDT Monday, August 4, 2008
BY DJC STAFF

Beginning this week, the Portland Water Bureau will close the intersection at S.E. 60th Avenue and Lincoln Street for four weeks to perform construction work as part of the Mount Tabor Reservoirs Maintenance and Security project.

Project contractor Slayden Construction is installing six large diameter pipelines heading in three different directions. Other contractors involved include Emery & Sons Construction Inc. and Moore Excavation Inc.

In addition, Southeast 59th Avenue between Lincoln Street and Hawthorne Boulevard will be closed as street restoration work gets underway following 10 months of new sewer and water pipe construction as part of the reservoir project.
